Women in Bail
A little late for International Women’s day, but still accurate:
Not an attack on men just a shout out to all the women standing their ground!
The 1% Standard: Three Years of Ironclad Precision!
In 1994, I was one of the few women in California’s fugitive recovery industry. I carried a CCW and a badge in a world that wasn’t built for me. Today, as a Managing Partner of one of the state’s largest bail bond companies, the battlefield has moved to the boardroom, but the battle to be heard remains.
Managing over 125 employees and vendors is a feat, but the real friction often happens at the partner table. In male dominated industries, women often pay an “Interruption Tax” the constant effort to finish a thought without being talked over. In these rooms, volume is often mistaken for authority, and leadership requires the precision of a tightrope walker.
I’ve learned that I don’t need to raise my voice to be heard; I let the results dictate the conversation. While others focus on bravado, I focus on the metric that ends the argument: with a loss ratio that has remained under 1% for three consecutive years. In an industry defined by high-stake gambles, that isn’t a fluke, it is a masterclass in risk management!
Maintaining that margin for three years isn’t a theory; it’s a high-precision machine. I allow my track record to become my greatest leverage; it transforms your presence from a question into an absolute necessity.
To the women navigating this “old school” industry: Build a system that makes your presence mandatory. I didn’t get here by fitting into the culture; I got here by outperforming it.
If you want in, let me guide you!l
